About Granite River Primitives

GRP was founded in June 2005, by Rachel and Josh Baird, in Springfield, MO. Our original goal was to provide quality hand-made wood signs and primitives. We have stuck with that goal, and today make much more than just decorative wood signs. While our entire product line is not available on the Internet, we have had much success selling our products at various craft shows, flea markets, and shops in the greater southwest Missouri region. In addition, we have started a new division of GRP, which focuses on providing complete and accurate information on arts and craft shows, nationwide (see below), to other craft vendors and enthusiasts. With that said, we stay pretty busy.
Rachel graduated from Missouri State University (MSU) in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design. Josh also graduated from MSU in 2002, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, and a Master's degree in Business Administration in 2003. Rachel has seven years experience in commercial design, and loves making spaces more attractive and beautiful. On the opposite end, Josh has the business and technical knowledge to start and operate a business. Together, we make a great team, complimenting each other to run a successful and growing business. A great, but important, side-benefit we enjoy is the fun we have working together and traveling to fun places and meeting the nice people in the craft and home decor industry.

GRCS was started in June 2007 with the idea of helping craft show vendors and craft show enthusiasts, easily find complete and accurate informations on craft shows and events. When we first started in June 2005, we found that craft show information can be difficult to find. There are often many different sources of information to look through, including the Internet, newspaper, magazines, and flyers. We decided to take it upon ourselves to give craft enthusiasts a single source to find all the information they could ever want.
To assist with the growth of GRCS, we purchased another business, ACShowtimes.com, that specialized in publishing craft show information. The purchase of ACShowtimes.com gave us a big head start with the business, compared to starting from scratch. While we are new to the craft show information pulication business, we are energized and excited to help fellow crafters find the information they need.
